Ödül sezonunun en prestijli eleştirmen ödülleri olan Critics’ Choice ödüllerinde bu yılın kazananları dün gece yapılan törenle sahiplerini buldu. Çoğu zaman Oscarla çok örtüşen tercihler yapan BFCA’in bu yılki büyük ödülü Nomadland’e gitti. Geçen hafta Altın Küre’yi de alan Nomadland, böylece Oscar yolunda iyiden iyiye tek ve net favori haline gelmeye başladı. Her ne kadar son iki yıldır en iyi film kategorisinde BFCA ve Akademi örtüşmeseler de bunun üç yıla çıktığı 2000’li yıllarda hiç görülmemiş… Nomadland, en iyi film ödülü dışında en iyi uyarlama senaryo ve en iyi yönetmen gibi önemli ödülleri de kazanarak gücünü göstermiş…
Oyunculuk kategorilerinde geçen yıl Oscarla dörtte dört uyuşan ödüllerde, bu yıl aynı başarının tekrarlaması çok da yüksek bir ihtimal değil gibi gözüküyor. Chadwick Boseman ve Daniel Kaluuya’nın kendi kategorilerinde ödüle çok yakın oldukları rahatlıkla söylenebilir ancak kadın oyuncu kategorilerinde işler bir hayli karışık. Başrol kadın oyuncu kategorisinde yarışın Viola Davis, Frances McDormand ve Vanessa Kirby arasında geçmesi beklenirken Altın Küre’yi Andra Day’in, Critics’ Choice ödülünü ise Carey Mulligan’ın kazanması dengeleri tamamen değiştirdi. Yardımcı oyuncu kategorisinde ise Altın Küre’de buradan adaylık dahi alamayan Jodie Foster kazanmıştı, eleştirmenlerin seçimi ise Maria Bakalova oldu. Nisan başında dağıtılacak SAG ödülleri özellikle bu iki kategorinin gizemini dağıtma konusunda bir hayli yararlı olabilir…
